digital EDGE media Inc. provides a vast array of unique AV solutions for small, medium, and large organizations. These include digital signage, integrated audio visual control systems, boardroom solutions and professional audio systems.
The ideal candidate should have 2+ years experience in installing and repairing audio visual systems, interpreting blueprints and system diagrams. This position reports directly to the Project Manager and will be based out of our Sherwood Park office.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, configure and troubleshoot audio visual systems
  • Execute wall, ceiling and flown product installations
  • Pull, terminate and solder various industry standard cabling
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager in delivering the solutions within the scope of agreement and timelines
  • Perform Q&A testing and ensure system quality prior to delivery to customer
  • Organize system documentation and associated user manuals
  • Occasional out of town travel will be required

KEY SKILLS

  • Capacity to compile and integrate equipment and systems.
  • Ability to take pride in every aspect of final product delivery and project execution.
  • Excellent working knowledge of rigging hardware and the application of different uni-strut mounting applications (I-beam, concrete wall anchoring)
  • Capacity to work in teams and promote solutions for completing targeted goals within stringent deadlines.
  • Motivated, flexible and a desire to work on different types of projects (development, integration & configuration)
  • Possess client oriented communication skills with work experience at customer sites
  • Basic knowledge of signal flow, LAN and IP networking
  • Bondable with a valid class 5 operator’s license
  • Impeccable English, spoken and written

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma
  • 2+ years of related experience in installation, testing, implementation and commissioning of cabling, wiring, equipment, and hardware
  • Knowledge of safe installation and maintenance practices
  • Ability to use a computer and associated peripherals effectively
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Ability to climb ladders and carry weights of up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workloads effectively
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of any one of the following products or product categories would be an asset:
    AMX, Crestron, Extron, Kramer, Symetrix, Cisco, Polycom, audio DSP’s, videowalls, digital signage, LED displays

Expected Start Date: Immediate (negotiable)
